Purpose Of The Job:
 
A well-established and reputable passenger vehicle dealership in Kimberley is seeking a qualified and experienced Petrol Vehicle Technician to join its workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled services and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer standards Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults on passenger vehicles Conduct fault-finding using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals Repair and replace engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, and electrical components Carry out warranty repairs according to manufacturer requirements Complete job cards accurately and ensure all work performed is properly documented Conduct final quality inspections and road tests where required Maintain productivity and efficiency targets set by the dealership Ensure compliance with workshop safety regulations and housekeeping standards Assist apprentices and junior technicians when required Keep up to date with manufacturer training and technological developments Minimum Requirements: Qualified Motor Mechanic / Petrol Technician (Red Seal Trade Test Certificate essential) Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience within a franchised motor dealership environment Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience working with modern diagnostic equipment Valid South African driver's licence Ability to work independently and within a team environment Computer literacy and experience with workshop management systems Proven track record of meeting productivity and quality standards Motor Industry experience Essential!
