Qualified Millwright (FMCG) - Killarney Gardens, Cape Town - Salary R30 000 to R40 000 CTC Benefits: Retirement Fund and Wellness Support About the Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Qualified Millwright to join a leading FMCG manufacturing plant based in Killarney Gardens, Cape Town. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining production uptime by executing scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and responding to operational breakdowns. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs: Perform fault finding and repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems. Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and respond promptly to emergency breakdowns (including refrigeration systems). Installations & Upgrades: Install, commission, and maintain machinery. Design and install electrical circuits, wiring, and components as required. Operations Support: Provide hands-on technical support to production teams and communicate effectively regarding equipment performance. Administration & Compliance: Accurately complete job cards, manage spare parts accountability, and maintain records while strictly adhering to Health & Safety regulations. Housekeeping & Coaching: Maintain a clean workspace, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor apprentices on-site. Requirements & Qualifications Trade Certification: Qualified Red Seal Millwright (Essential). Education: Grade 12 / NQF Level 3 (N2-N4 advantageous). Experience: Minimum 3-5 years post-trade experience in an FMCG environment . Technical Skills: Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Licensing & Transport: Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle (Essential). Computer Literacy: Basic software and maintenance capturing skills. Soft Skills: Excellent communication abilities, professional work ethic, and a proactive mindset. Working Hours, Standby & Remuneration Shift Schedule: Day shifts operating from 07:00 to 19:00. Standby Duty: Candidate will be required to be on standby during weekends
