Qualified Dealership Automotive Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
- Carry out repairs and component replacements according to manufacturer standards.
- Troubleshoot vehicle concerns and identify the root cause of faults.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
- Use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools effectively.
- Complete job cards and technical documentation accurately.
- Maintain compliance with manufacturer technical and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Work effectively with the workshop team to meet deadlines and productivity targets.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Valid Automotive Trade Certificate. (Red seal preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ post qualification experience as an Automotive Technician.
- Proven experience working on Chinese vehicle brands is essential.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Good knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship..
- Stable employment history with contactable references
- Clear criminal record and sober habits
