Project Manager (Mining Industry) Location: Fourways, Johannesburg A leading organisation within the mining sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of strategic business, operational, technology, and transformation projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who excels in complex environments and can effectively lead cross-functional initiatives without relying on formal authority. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project delivery from initiation through to successful completion. Translate broad business objectives into structured project plans, milestones, deliverables, and measurable outcomes. Drive project execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies are effectively managed. Coordinate multiple stakeholders across operations, technology, engineering, and business functions. Establish practical governance structures and reporting mechanisms that support delivery and accountability. Create clarity, ownership, and momentum in environments where priorities and responsibilities may be unclear. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear communication on project progress, risks, and key decisions. Facilitate collaboration across teams with differing priorities and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies. Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across project delivery practices. Minimum Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field . Significant experience managing projects within complex operational environments. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in organisations with multiple stakeholders and varying levels of accountability. Proven success influencing and leading teams without direct authority. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills. Practical, hands-on approach to project delivery with a focus on achieving business outcomes. Experience navigating ambiguity and driving projects through to completion. Advantageous Experience Mining industry experience. Technology-enabled transformation projects. Digital, IT, ERP, or business systems implementation projects. Process improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Understanding of maintenance and asset management environments. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and related business systems. Formal Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent .
