PROFESSIONAL NURSE \/ REGISTERED NURSE Reference MID726 Location: Vereeniging Accommodation Available on Site Salary: Negotiable   About the Position Midvaal Recruitment is seeking an experienced and compassionate Professional Nurse to join a well-established retirement and elderly care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and ensuring the health, comfort, and wellbeing of residents. Key Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care to elderly residents. Assess, monitor, and record residents' health conditions. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed. Respond effectively to medical emergencies and healthcare needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor and manage chronic health conditions. Liaise with doctors, specialists, residents, and family members regarding care plans and treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Supervise and support care workers and nursing assistants. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control practices, and facility policies. Promote the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of residents.   Minimum Requirements Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Diploma or Degree in Nursing. Minimum 2 years' nursing experience. Experience within geriatric care, frail care, retirement villages, hospitals, or similar healthcare environments will be advantageous. Strong knowledge of elderly patient care and chronic disease management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
