Production Manager (Cookhouse, Eastern Cape)

PSP Animal Feed, a part of the SSK Group, currently has a career opportunity for a Production Manager at its Animal Feed Manufacturing plant in Cookhouse. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for the effective management of the daily operations of the animal feed manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Proven experience in managing an animal feed manufacturing plant as well as knowledge of the production processes involved
• Proven knowledge of the technical aspects related to the manufacturing plant
• Management of operating expenses, implementation of strategies to achieve profitable goals as well as the preparation of budgets
• Effective receipt and dispatch of stock
• Good personnel management
• Ensure that the effective maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment is carried out in a timely manner
• Good knowledge of all relevant quality and nutritional standards
• Ensure that the plant complies with occupational safety and health requirements

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 (Matric) certificate and/or
• A Production Management Diploma (NQF Level 6)
• Five years of relevant Production Management experience
• Good leadership and management skills
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills
• Computer literacy with a good knowledge of the MS Office software package
