Principal Structural Engineer – Mining & EPCM

Job Description

• We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership on large-scale mining projects. This is a fixed term contract opportunity based in Johannesburg, with occasional site travel fully covered by the company.

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (2+ years)

Qualifications:

• Essential: BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis)
• Essential: Trained in leadership and project execution
• Essential: Actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law (e.g., ECSA)
• Desirable: Training in risk management or quality

Requirements:

• 15+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
• Mining project experience (mandatory)
• EPCM experience (mandatory)
• Strong background in discipline work and understanding of regulations and codes
• Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content
• Based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate
