  • In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire software development lifecycle, from designing responsive client-facing user interfaces to structuring robust server-side logic and database architecture.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in modern PHP web frameworks (specifically Laravel), standard front-end web technologies, and a deep understanding of standard MVC architecture.
  • You will collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to build scalable, high-performance web applications that meet complex business requirements.

Responsibilities

Back-End Development & Integration:

  • Write clean, secure, and maintainable server-side PHP code leveraging the Laravel framework.
  • Build, optimize, and document robust, reusable RESTful APIs and integrate third-party web services.
  • Implement essential server-side logic including user authentication, authorization, and data validation rules.
  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable database schemas using MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Front-End Engineering:

  • Translate design wireframes and mockups into responsive, accessible, and high-performing client-side interfaces.
  • Build features using semantic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Integrate front-end frameworks or utility libraries (e.g., Vue.js, React, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS) seamlessly with the Laravel blade system or an API layer.

Performance, Optimization & Security:

  • Solve complex performance bottlenecks and architectural challenges to ensure application responsiveness.
  • Conduct testing (unit and feature testing) to guarantee software reliability and stability.
  • Identify and eliminate common security vulnerabilities, adhering to safe coding principles and data protection standards.

Collaboration & Version Control:

  • Manage code deployments and collaborate with team members utilizing Git version control systems.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles, sprint planning sessions, and team code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and patch production issues efficiently as they arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Expert knowledge of modern PHP syntax, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and design patterns.
  • Proven commercial experience building web applications with Laravel, including ecosystem tools like Eloquent ORM, Blade, Routing, and Migrations.
  • Strong commands of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and popular utility systems (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind, jQuery, or modern JS frameworks).
  • Comfortable writing raw SQL queries, modifying relational schemas, and optimizing database indices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of RESTful API standards, CRUD operations, and JSON payloads.
  • Experience with Composer, npm/yarn, Git, and deploying to cloud infrastructure (such as AWS or DigitalOcean) is highly beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team alignment.
