Job Description

What You Will Do

  • Collect blood and non-blood specimens according to established clinical standards and safety protocols.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, specimen handling, and documentation.
  • Capture and manage patient information using digital systems.
  • Process patient payments and maintain accurate administrative records.
  • Deliver a professional, caring, and patient-centred experience.
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards.

What you'll bring

Requirements

  • You will need to have 0 – 5 years of experience as a Phlebotomist within a Pathology Laboratory or hospital setting


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Sound computer literacy and confidence working with digital systems.
  • A patient-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Phlebotomy or Nursing.
  •  Current registration with the HPCSA or SANC as a Phlebotomy Technician or Registered Nurse.
