We are looking for a technically skilled, hands-on Millwright or Fitter with a strong electrical background who can perform effectively under these operating conditions and maintain production equipment safely and efficiently.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements Grade 12. Trade-tested Millwright or Fitter with a strong electrical background. Minimum 3 years' experience in a processing plant environment. Previous experience in a poultry slaughterhouse or abattoir, with an understanding of the working conditions and ability to perform effectively in this environment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance on plant machinery. Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, valves, mills, steam cookers, electrical starters and variable-speed drives. Conduct planned and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Identify equipment faults and implement corrective action. Follow safety procedures, risk assessments and Lockout/Tagout requirements. Assist with maintenance planning and contractor coordination.
