MEPF Co-Ordinator – Cape Town

Job Description

• A leading construction company is seeking an experienced MEPF Co-ordinator to join its Cape Town team. This opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with experience coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire (MEPF) systems within building construction projects.
• The successful candidate will work closely with the MEPF and Construction Managers, coordinating various teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of MEPF systems.

• Coordinate MEPF systems across building construction projects.
• Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical services with the wider project team.
• Work closely with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and construction teams.
• Review and analyse technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical coordination issues and clashes.
• Provide technical guidance and support relating to MEPF systems.
• Assist with project scheduling and monitor progress against programme.
• Ensure MEPF installations are completed on time and within project requirements.
• Assist with project management and coordination activities.
• Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant building codes, regulations, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate multiple project requirements and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Support the construction team with technical problem-solving and MEPF-related issues.

• 3–5 years' experience in MEPF coordination, particularly across Mechanical and Electrical systems.
• Relevant qualification within the built environment will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of building construction processes and practices.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards relating to electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience coordinating MEPF subcontractors and project teams.
• Strong technical drawing and document review capabilities.
• South African citizenship.

Software Experience

Experience with relevant MEPF software, including:

• AutoCAD
• Revit
• Other MEPF design and coordination software
