Medical Technician - Processing

Job description

• Perform technical, operational and administrative duties, which include product sample preparation, testing, and correlation of results. Preparation and issuing of blood products according to Work Instructions; Product label control.
• Assists with training and staff competence. Co-ordinate processes with reference to inventory, equipment, communication, continuous improvement, queries, document control, and record keeping.
• Multiskilled within the Processing department

Requirements

• Matric
• Medical Technician Certificate
• Registered with HPCSA in Blood Transfusion
• Computer literate
• The working hours are variable; shift work is required, with weekend work and call-outs.

• Accuracy in data collection
• Must be able to work as part of a team
