Requirements :

• Requirements: Basic medical degree (MBCHB) that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Medical Medical Practitioner post community service. Proof of current registration (2026/2027) is essential.
• Grade 1: No experience required after registration as a Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA. Interest in acute and emergency care is advantageous. Good interpersonal, communication and computer skill. Independent and effective decision-making. ATLS/ACLS/APLS/PALS certificates will be advantageous. Diploma in Primary Emergency Care (DipPEC) and emergency ultrasound accreditation are also advantageous. Commuted overtime is mandatory.

Duties :

• Evaluation and clinical management of patients referred to the Emergency Department. Clinical training and supervision of undergraduates and junior doctors. Relevant administration as required for medico-legal purposes.
