POSITION INFO:
A reputable healthcare organisation is seeking a Medical Coder \/ Medical Billing Clerk to join its team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate coding of diagnostic imaging studies, processing medical billing transactions, and maintaining billing accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Review and accurately code diagnostic imaging studies in accordance with industry guidelines. Process medical billing transactions and ensure timely month-end completion. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and queries. Conduct data integrity and billing accuracy checks. Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Operational teams. Maintain accurate patient and billing records. Support process improvement initiatives within the billing function. Ensure compliance with healthcare and billing standards Job Experience and Skills Required: Matric \/ Grade 12. Minimum 2 years' experience within the medical or healthcare sector. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Medical Coding qualification or relevant healthcare qualification advantageous. Experience within Medical Coding, Radiology, Medical Billing, Clinical Administration, or RIS environments. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
