Leading manufacturer of steel components for conveyor systems and other industrial applications in the Chloorkop area is looking for a  Mechanical Draughtsman - Solidworks

POSITION INFO:
MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN - SOLIDWORKS Location: Chloorkop, Gauteng Industry: Mining / Crushing & Screening Equipment Salary: Market Related Reporting to: Managing Director Employment Type: Permanent POSITION OVERVIEW Our client is a specialist mining and heavy equipment manufacturing company involved in the design and fabrication of conveyors, crushers, vibrating screens and related mining equipment . They are seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman with a minimum of 3 years' SolidWorks experience to join their team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Produce accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor. Prepare detailed manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings. Assist with the design and development of mining and heavy equipment. Work closely with engineering, fabrication and workshop teams. Make design modifications and drawing revisions. Ensure drawings are practical, accurate and suitable for manufacturing. Assist with technical problem-solving and design improvements. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 3 years' Mechanical Draughtsman experience . Experience designing conveyors, vibrating screens, feeders, chutes, hoppers, support structures, platforms and/or modular processing equipment will be highly advantageous. Strong 3D CAD experience using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor is required. Candidates currently using Inventor who have strong mechanical design and fabrication experience are encouraged to apply. SolidWorks training will be provided where required. Good mechanical design and technical drawing knowledge. Experience with manufacturing/fabrication drawings. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Relevant Mechanical Draughting / Engineering qualification advantageous. Good computer literacy.
