POSITION INFO:
Qualifications B-Tech/B Sc or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Heavy equipment, structural, or automative design specialisation would be advantageous Experience 3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing (preferable within mining, heavy equipment, or specialised vehicle industry) Skills Autodesk Inventor Professional Proficiency Autodesk Vault Proficiency FEA and Fluid Dynamics Analysis Tools Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Fuel Systems for Heavy Mobile Equipment Material Science Knowledge (structural steels, wear-resistant materials) Knowledge of Mining Equipment Design Standards (e.g., SANS, MHSA, OEM specifications) Structural & Welded Assembly Design for Heavy-Duty Applications Project Management Cross-Functional Collaboration with Manufacturing, Procurement & Site Teams
