Mechanical Design Engineer (Engineering / Manufacturing)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established engineering environment specialising in precision and industrial machining, valves and actuator solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Meet with clients to discuss new product development and technical requirements. Develop 3D CAD designs and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks . Manage product development and lifecycle from concept through to production. Oversee prototype development, testing and assembly. Manage project timelines, resources and budgets. Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers and production teams. Prepare technical reports, design specifications and operating manuals. Design assembly jigs and pass\/fail gauges. Provide technical input and support to manufacturing. Minimum Requirements B-Eng \/ BSc in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5 years mechanical design experience. SolidWorks experience is essential. Valve and\/or pneumatic experience will be an advantage. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and time-management abilities. Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure. Able to meet deadlines.
