Material Tester

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

• Minimum Grade 12
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be computer literate
• Must have communication skills
• Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all the various aggregates.
• Be able to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically
• Able to work as part of a team
• Good leadership skills
• Safety conscious

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Carry out testing of all materials in accordance with SANS 3001.
• Capture results and specifications of material tested.
• Report any deviations of results.
• Ensure that all materials produced on the plant are tested according to the prescribed test methods.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks in the laboratory.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area.
• Carry out other instructions given by your superior.
• Will be responsible for the tasks as described on appointment and as associated with the above position title.
• Acknowledge that Management reserves the right to allocate additional tasks when for wherever reason the task cannot be completed on standard allocated job.
• The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as and when required.
• The successful candidate must also be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, while having the ability to work independently, as well in a team environment.
