POSITION INFO:
A leading South African fruit exporter is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Marketing Manager to lead market development across the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established player in the international pome fruit industry, driving market growth, strengthening global customer relationships and maximising commercial opportunities. The opportunity 🔹 Develop and implement market development strategies across key international markets. 🔹 Manage international customer accounts and build long-term commercial partnerships. 🔹 Identify new business opportunities, market trends and growth channels. 🔹 Coordinate sales planning, forecasting, stock management and quality requirements. 🔹 Work closely with sales, planning and production teams to optimise performance. 🔹 Monitor market intelligence, competitor activity, pricing and customer needs. 🔹 Represent the business at international trade shows, customer meetings and market visits. What you'll bring ✔ A degree in Marketing, Commerce, International Business or a related field. ✔ At least five years' experience in marketing or commercial roles within the fresh produce export industry. ✔ Experience in the pome fruit (apple and pear) industry. ✔ Knowledge of international markets and export dynamics. ✔ Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, communication and analytical skills. ✔ Excellent organisational skills and a customer-focused approach. ✔ Willingness to travel internationally and be based at the company's Grabouw head office.
