- A well-established company specialising in commercial vehicle body manufacturing and heavy structural steel fabrication is seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop / Manufacturing Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Located: Pretoria North
Salary : R35 000 CTC
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Workshop Manager, Production Manager or Works Manager within commercial vehicle body building or heavy structural steel manufacturing
- Strong ability to read and interpret structural, mechanical and hydraulic drawings
- In-depth practical knowledge of cutting, bending and welding processes, including MIG/flux-cored welding
- Experience with chassis integration, tipping mechanisms and tanker systems will be essential
- Strong mechanical problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
- Proven experience managing and leading workshop teams
- Hands-on leadership approach with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Relevant Trade Test (Boilermaker / Plater / Toolmaker) or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Production Management will be advantageous
- Valid driver's licence
