POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate is a practical, self-driven tradesperson who takes pride in upholding the standard of a high-end property and is comfortable managing day-to-day upkeep in a remote bush setting. Core Criteria: Proven experience in a maintenance role within a lodge, hotel or similar hospitality environment Relevant trade qualification or technical background Ability to diagnose and resolve faults quickly and independently Working knowledge of lodge infrastructure, including water systems, power supply, pools and general building maintenance Sound understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements Valid driver's licence Well-organised, reliable and able to prioritise under pressure Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a remote environment Core Responsibilities: Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across guest, staff and back-of-house areas Maintain and service water, electrical, plumbing and power systems Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance schedules Respond promptly to guest-facing maintenance issues with minimal disruption Oversee the upkeep of pools, equipment and grounds infrastructure Manage maintenance stock, tools and contractor access Keep accurate maintenance records and report on recurring issues Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
