Maintenance Fitter (4-5 Years Post Apprenticeship)
Job Description
SUMMARY:
A heavy engineering manufacturing concern is seeking a Maintenance Fitter with 4-5 years post trade experience, to
assemble, install and maintain mechanical equipment, and produces and maintain precision components used in manufacturing.
Requirements
- Trade tested Artisan - Qualified Fitter
- Knowledge of process systems (including electronics, control
valves, PLCs, mechanical systems)
- Basic electrical knowledge will be an advantage
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Physical stamina and strength. Shift work and standby when
and if required (Position currently a day shift role)
Experience:
- 3 - 5 Years maintenance experience in the manufacturing
industry
- Experience in the Automotive production industry is preferred
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Assembles, installs and maintains mechanical equipment, and produces and maintains precision components used in manufacturing. - Perform fitting duties s as per maintenance requirements and relevant specifications - Mechanical repair and installation of machines - Perform preventative and routine maintenance on machinery and equipment - Interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagrams - Operate hand and power tools as well as welding, cutting and measuring equipment - Conduct fault finding, diagnose and troubleshoot problems - Test equipment to ensure it meets quality and safety standards - Adhere to HSE procedures, 5S and Housekeeping standards
