About the Role As a Maintenance & Breakdown Technician , you'll play an important role in keeping production machinery, equipment and technical installations operating safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for identifying and resolving technical breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting improvements that increase equipment reliability and minimize production downtime. Working alongside fellow technicians and production teams, you'll have the opportunity to apply your mechanical and electrical knowledge in a practical, hands-on manufacturing environment. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and pneumatic breakdowns Performing maintenance and repairs on production machinery and technical installations Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures Identifying technical problems and implementing effective solutions Supporting improvements to machine performance and production efficiency Collaborating with fellow technicians on technical projects and process improvements Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting technical issues Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with workplace safety standards Working closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency We're Looking For: A technical qualification in Mechanics, Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering or a related field Approximately 3–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial production machinery Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities The ability to work independently and take responsibility for technical repairs A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and continuous improvement Strong awareness of workplace safety, order and cleanliness Willingness to work in a two-shift or three-shift system A willingness to learn, adapt and develop technical skills Relevant Industry Experience Candidates with practical maintenance experience in the following environments are encouraged to apply: Manufacturing and production facilities Industrial machinery and equipment maintenance Packaging and processing environments Mechanical and electromechanical maintenance Industrial breakdown and preventive maintenance We are particularly interested in technicians who enjoy hands-on maintenance work and can independently identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Language Requirements Good command of Dutch or Afrikaans Basic English communication skills are advantageous What's On Offer Competitive Salary: Starting from €20 gross per hour, depending on experience and skills Shift Allowance: Potential additional shift bonuses of up to 12% Meal Vouchers: Up to €8 per working day, where applicable Travel Allowance: Commuting allowance depending on distance and transportation End-of-Year and Holiday Bonuses: Subject to eligibility and employment conditions Accommodation: Furnished private room at approximately €110 per week, including utilities and internet Travel Reimbursement: Up to €125 towards travel expenses to Belgium after four weeks of employment Transportation Support: Bicycle or alternative transport arrangements available Legal Employment: Employment in accordance with Belgian labour legislation Relocation Assistance: Guidance and practical support from a multilingual team Career Development: Opportunity for permanent employment and long-term technical career growth Ready to Take Your Technical Career Abroad?
