Job Description

We’ve got a position available for a litigation consultant (recoveries)

Company: King Price

Purpose of position:
Reviewing of and attending to all allocated recoveries-related claims to obtain a valid judgment.

Responsibilities:
• Managing a portfolio and handling activities relating to litigation and negotiations
• Acting in the client’s best interest
• Following the Magistrate’s and High Court Civil Procedure in both defended and undefended matters, which includes:
o Drafting summonses, pleadings and notices
o Drafting affidavits and preparing for trials

Requirements

• Matric or matric equivalent (essential)
• LLB degree (essential)
• Admitted attorney (completed articles or clerkship)
• Must have appropriate litigation experience in both the Magistrate’s Court and High Court
• Sound knowledge of Law of Delict
• Must be able to draft a variety of pleadings and notices (with reference to motor vehicle collision matters) and drive the legal process to finalisation
