Our client is seeking to recruit an Intermediate Life Support (ILS) Paramedic who will provide professional emergency medical care within the scope of an Intermediate Life Support Paramedic and supervise operations under the direction of the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic or his/her designee.


Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Driving (Responding) and staffing ambulances and other emergency vehicles
  • Assessing patients, providing emergency treatment and making diagnoses within scope of practice
  • Transporting patients to hospital and continuing to provide treatment while in transit
  • Manages daily activities of BAA staff members to ensure effective efficiencies in compliance with contractual and legal requirements
  • Provide feedback to the assigned BAA medics on the improvement of their skills and understanding of the SOP’s
  • Ensure that all Patient Report Forms (PRFs) are completed correctly and up to standard.
  • Daily vehicle maintenance and inspection
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Facilitate the collection of all reports medical records, and other forms and perform initial quality assurance review
  • Provide training to subordinates
  • Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence



  • Minimum of 2 year’s experience in the medical fiels as an ILS medic
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and PrDP
  • Comprehensive understanding of emergency medicine
  • Knowledgeable in emergency rescue and stabilization
  • Extensive personnel management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of life-saving Medical procedures
  • Knowledge intermediate cardiology, to include operation of Defibrillator equipment, accurate reading and diagnosis of cardiac strips, and ILS algorithms with appropriate drug treatment protocol
  • Knowledgeable of Intermediate / Pre-Hospital Trauma Care, to include immediate assessment and treatment of any traumatic life-threatening injury, IV therapy and ECG monitoring
  • Knowledge of general sick call procedures
  • Intermediate Life Support (ILS) certified (and current)
  • Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certified an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
