- Partner with leaders and managers to identify learning needs, capability gaps and development priorities.
- Design, coordinate and implement learning programmes, workshops, learning pathways and development interventions.
- Support the Workplace Skills Plan, Annual Training Plan and related statutory skills development requirements.
- Coordinate mandatory, compliance, technical, leadership, behavioural, onboarding and functional learning initiatives.
- Source and manage external training providers to ensure learning solutions are relevant and fit for purpose.
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, evaluation feedback and supporting documentation.
- Monitor learner participation, completion rates and learning impact.
- Support learnerships, internships, apprenticeships, bursaries and other structured development programmes.
- Guide managers and employees on learning opportunities and development planning.
- Facilitate selected learning sessions, workshops and onboarding interventions.
- Support skills development reporting, SETA submissions and training evidence requirements.
- Continuously look for ways to improve our learning processes, materials, systems and overall learner experience.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Education, Training and Development, Business Management or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in Learning and Development, Skills Development, Organisational Development, Talent Development, Training Coordination or a related people development role.
- Sound knowledge of learning and development practices, adult learning principles and workplace skills planning.
- Working knowledge of South African skills development legislation and frameworks, including SETA requirements, Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reporting.
- Strong facilitation, communication, planning and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong administration and attention to detail.
- Good analytical capability and the ability to turn learning data into practical insights.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience within manufacturing, textile, flooring, industrial, FMCG or another large operational environment would be advantageous. Experience with learnerships, internships, apprenticeships, structured skills programmes or digital learning platforms would also be beneficial.
