Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and solutions-driven Lead Sage X3 Consultant to lead and contribute to Sage X3 implementation projects, manage project deliverables, and support business development through client-facing sales demonstrations. The role involves engaging with clients to understand their business needs, assessing existing business processes, and translating requirements into effective ERP solutions through business process design, system configuration, customisation, and third-party application integrations.

The successful candidate will take ownership of delivering and managing software implementation projects within a collaborative team environment, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable value. The role requires strong Sage X3 expertise, project management capabilities, and the ability to provide practical solutions that enhance business processes, improve operational efficiency, and support clients in achieving their business goals.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work remotely with occasional on-site engagements. 

What you will be doing

Enhance the reputation of SynergERP through delivering exceptional consulting services to our clients, exceeding their expectations consistently and delivering successful projects.
Remain abreast with the latest trends and technologies and apply them whilst working on projects to ensure that our clients’ lives are made better through the application of technology.
Gap Analysis

• Analyse clients’ business requirements.
• Engage with clients to define and document their requirements.
• Formulate solutions that will meet their business needs and expectations in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assist in setting up a project plan and budget.

Implementation

• Customizing the solution to suit client’s requirements and specifications.
• Provide support to the project managers and assist in managing the technical aspects of the projects.
• Communicate requirements for customisation to developers to ensure their work will function in the way the client expects it to.
• Manage and oversee the X3 system and related projects.
• Ensure that X3 system is integrated and aligned with the client’s needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of Sage X3.
  
• Implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  
• Maintain up to date knowledge of X3 system.

Training

• Training users on new system for them to become self-sufficient in the use of the software configured for them.
• Training junior consultants to master Sage X3.

• Lead & mentor the Sage X3 team, contributing and sharing best practices, knowledge, resources, and guidance.
• Work with Project Managers to ensure smooth, on-time, and successful solutions are delivered.
• Involved in recruitment.
• Attend Steerco meetings.

Support

• Assisting with the smooth integration of business processes after go-live.
• Identifying and implementing effective solutions to clients’ problems, maintaining healthy client relationships.
• Support others in problem-solving and provide support and advice to less experienced consultants to manage product implementations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Information Technology or a related field.
• Implementations experience in various industries to include integrations and reporting.
• Experience following detailed work plans for project activities within scope.
• Experience supporting end users with Sage X3.
• Excel proficiency preferred, including ability to create data transformation workbooks and/or macros to facilitate
  
• Sage X3 certification (advantageous).
• Report writing and MS Excel skills.
• Experience in other ERP platforms such as Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Infor, Acumatica, NetSuite, Syspro or similar enterprise solutions who are interested in expanding their expertise into the Sage X3 ecosystem.
• Good accounting background with proper understanding of internal control structures and business processes.
• Crystal report and SQL experience.
• Business Acumen.
