SUMMARY:
Restaurant at a luxury Wine Estate based close to Stellenbosch is looking for a reliable and hardworkingKitchen Porter to join their kitchen team.
 
The successful candidate will help maintain a clean and organised kitchen, assist with service preparation and support the chefs with daily kitchen tasks.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Carry out general kitchen cleaning tasks efficiently. Collect and wash pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Ensure food preparation areas are clean and ready for use. Assist with basic food preparation under the supervision of a skilled cook. Unload food and equipment deliveries. Keep the storeroom neat and organised. Clean and sanitise work surfaces, floors and walls. Assist chefs and colleagues with a professional, friendly and proactive approach. Follow kitchen procedures and service standards. Requirements: Preferably 1-2 years' experience in a restaurant kitchen environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer-service orientation. Willingness to work flexible hours. An enthusiastic personality and positive approach. Self-discipline, adaptability and flexibility. Good attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
