Key Accounts Manager - Parow

Our client, a well-established company within the FMCG industry, is seeking an experienced Key Accounts Manager to join their team in Parow Industrial, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key retail accounts, building strong customer relationships, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years’ experience in FMCG key account management, preferably within the confectionery or food sector, with a proven track record managing major retail accounts such as Pick n Pay, Shoprite, or Checkers. Strong negotiation, numerical and Excel skills are essential, along with a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

• Manage relationships and grow a portfolio of key retail and wholesale accounts, such as Pick n Pay, Shoprite, and Checkers, while negotiating trading terms, pricing, and promotional plans.
• Develop and execute account-specific growth plans aligned with sales targets.
• Drive new listings and increase shelf and distribution footprint across accounts.
• Monitor stock levels, sell-through, and demand forecasts in collaboration with procurement and logistics teams.
• Resolve escalations, including delivery issues, disputes, and returns, while maintaining high service levels.
• Prepare monthly account reviews, sales reports, and forecasts for management.
• Track competitor activity and market trends within the confectionery category.
