1.       About the position

The main purpose of this role is to support preventive and reactive maintenance of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems across CBRE Excellerate managed facilities. The Junior Refrigeration Technician carries out routine servicing, basic fault finding and repairs on DX units, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF and split systems under appropriate supervision, while maintaining HSE and service-quality standards.

2.       Decision Making Authority

This position has the authority to:
• Carry out assigned PPM and reactive work orders within competency level.
• Isolate equipment and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Identify defective parts and recommend materials for supervisor review.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and functional checks after maintenance.
• Escalate complex faults and refrigerant issues to the Senior Technician or Technical Supervisor.

3.       Experience / Education

• ITI/Certificate/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years relevant hands-on experience in refrigeration/HVAC maintenance.
• Practical exposure to DX units, split units, freezers, cold rooms and preferably VRV/VRF systems.
• Facilities Management experience preferred.

4.       Skills Required

• Routine refrigeration and AC maintenance
• Basic fault finding and component replacement
• Basic brazing, vacuuming and refrigerant charging
• Safe use of hand tools and test instruments
• Work-order/CAFM reporting

5.       Knowledge Required

• Basic refrigeration cycle
• DX, split AC, freezer and cold room operation
• Basic VRV/VRF principles
• Preventive and reactive maintenance
• Refrigerant safety
• PTW, LOTO and HSE requirements
