Junior Process Engineer

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Assist with process design calculations, mass and energy balances Develop and update PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions and equipment data sheets Support equipment sizing, process specifications and technical documentation Assist with HAZOP studies, risk assessments and design reviews Support pilot-plant trials, process scale-up and technology development Participate in equipment installation, testing and commissioning Assist with technical evaluations of supplier proposals Coordinate process information with piping, mechanical, civil, structural and EC&I teams Support site surveys, plant modifications and as-built documentation Maintain accurate calculations, drawings and engineering records Minimum Requirements BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering Up to 3 years of process engineering experience Understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and equipment design Strong numerical, analytical and technical-reporting ability Interest in chemical plant, process safety and project engineering Valid driver's licence Advantageous Chemical, petrochemical, mining chemical, explosives or EPC exposure Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or similar process software Exposure to HAZOP, hazardous chemicals or batch processes For more information, contact: Siphelele Mzongwana Recruitment Consultant 📧 🔗 If you have not received a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
