JUNIOR MILLWRIGHT Location: Rustenburg, North West Industry: Manufacturing & Construction Employment Type: Permanent Availability: Immediately Available INTRODUCTION Our client is looking for a Junior Millwright to join their team in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance, repair, installation and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment within a manufacturing and construction environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and production equipment. Assist with electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repairs. Maintain and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and other mechanical equipment. Assist with installation, alignment and commissioning of machinery. Assist with breakdown maintenance to minimise production downtime. Read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical drawings. Assist with inspections and planned maintenance activities. Perform basic welding, fabrication and mechanical repairs where required. Complete maintenance reports and job cards accurately. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. Maintain good housekeeping in the workshop and work areas. Provide general technical support to the maintenance team. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 \/ Matric. Relevant Millwright qualification or trade-related technical qualification. Trade Tested Millwright will be advantageous. Some practical experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance. Exposure to manufacturing, construction, engineering or plant equipment. Basic knowledge of motors, pumps, gearboxes and conveyors. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Must be immediately available.
