Junior Millwright – Conveyor Systems

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Junior Millwright to join our team and support the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of conveyor systems and related mechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of practical experience as a Millwright, preferably within the conveyor, materials handling, mining, manufacturing, or industrial equipment sectors.

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of conveyor systems.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on conveyor components, including:
  • Conveyor belts
  • Rollers and idlers
  • Pulleys
  • Gearboxes
  • Bearings
  • Drive systems
  • Chains and sprockets
  • Belt tracking and tensioning systems
• Assist with the installation and alignment of mechanical equipment.
• Conduct inspections and identify mechanical faults and potential equipment failures.
• Assist with breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
• Work from mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Assist with conveyor belt installation, joining, tracking, tensioning, and maintenance.
• Ensure equipment is correctly aligned, lubricated, and maintained.
• Follow all company safety procedures and site-specific safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work closely with senior millwrights, fitters, electricians, supervisors, and project teams.
• Travel to customer sites and work on industrial or mining sites 

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Qualified Millwright or relevant Millwright trade qualification\/certification. 1-2 years of practical post-qualification experience will be preferred. Experience with conveyor systems will be highly advantageous. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings. Basic understanding of conveyor components, drives, bearings, gearboxes, and mechanical assemblies. Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physically fit and comfortable working in industrial environments and at heights where required. Valid driver's licence will be advantageous
