Junior Mechatronics Engineer

SUMMARY:
I'm looking to connect with talented Junior Mechatronics Engineers who are either recent graduates or have up to 2 years of industry experience. I'm currently assisting an international engineering company that specializes in the development of innovative electro-mechanical products used across global markets. This opportunity offers exposure to both mechanical and electronic engineering, allowing engineers to work on the full product development lifecycle from concept and design through to testing, manufacturing, and implementation.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Assist with the design and development of electro-mechanical products and systems Support mechanical design activities using CAD software and SolidWorks Participate in prototyping, testing, validation, and product improvement initiatives Assist with electronics integration, sensor selection, and embedded systems development Work closely with manufacturing and workshop teams to support production processes Support troubleshooting, commissioning, and technical investigations Create and maintain engineering documentation and technical reports Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on new product development projects Skills & Experience: Minimum 0-2 years of engineering experience Exposure to mechanical design and product development Basic understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and control principles SolidWorks experience highly advantageous Exposure to CAD software and engineering drawings Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Hands-on engineering mindset with a willingness to learn Experience with prototyping, testing, or manufacturing environments advantageous Qualification: BEng, BSc, BTech, or National Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
