Junior Developer – 12-month Contract – King Williams’ Town (Qonce) – Onsite

ENVIRONMENT:

• Our client, a trusted ICT and digital transformation partner with a strong presence across South Africa, is seeking a Junior Developer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. 
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal and public-facing websites and web portals, primarily using WordPress and SharePoint Online, alongside associated technologies within the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI.

DUTIES:

• Developing and maintaining the internal & public facing and websites/ web portal using mainly WordPress & SharePoint Online including the associated technologies like Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerBI, etc.).
• Developing solutions to streamline identified business processes and play an advisory role in the implementation of emerging technologies, including security considerations or additional tools or software or plugins.
• Manage development, implements websites/web portals projects, maintain configure and troubleshoot web or application servers.
• Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing website or web portals and generic websites/portals. Ensure functionality and running of the departmental websites or internal & external facing websites/portals. Monitor and analyse portals/sites performance and usage.
• Content update on various internal and external facing web portals (e.g. website, intranet, custom developed web portals/websites, etc.) to ensuring up-to-date information is available.
• Conducting user training and virtual workshop in support of various websites/portals users, including addressing queries from admin and general users.
• Maintenance to keep sites/portals running at an optimum speed for audience’s use and developing technical or functional documentation for the various portals/websites/sites. Ensuring functionality and efficiency of sites and web servers.
• Conducting systems/sites test across browsers, operating systems and devices, including tracking and resolving bugs or issues.
• Debug pages and fix broken links or images.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Sharepoint, WordPress, Microsoft Power Apps, Java , .Net , C# (Looking for an all-round Dev)
• Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Information Technology.
