Junior Buyer – Elsies River

SUMMARY:
Do you hold a Degree or Diploma in Procurement or a related field, with at least one year of stock management experience?
 
An exciting opportunity is available for a Junior Buyer to join a driven and dynamic team based in Elsies River. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing products, obtaining competitive quotations, processing and managing purchase orders, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining effective communication with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and efficient procurement processes.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS Relevant Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Management or a related field Minimum 1 year relevant experience in FMCG or stock management Strong Microsoft Excel skills and other computer literacy Good written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and highly organised Valid SA driving license and own reliable vehicle ADVANTAGEOUS: Buying or procurement exposure Experience working with ERP or stock management systems Understanding of stock, GP, margins and purchasing Previous internship or graduate programme experience DUTIES Assist with stock analysis, slow-moving stock and aged inventory Monitor pricing, promotions and supplier deals Capture and maintain purchase orders Track deliveries and outstanding purchase orders Monitor stock levels and identify potential stock risks Follow up with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and outstanding issues Assist with invoice, credit and stock-related queries Maintain accurate buying records and documentation Capture and reconcile information across internal systems and prepare reports Communicate with warehouse, finance, sales and operations teams Follow up on outstanding action points and ensure deadlines are met Provide general administrative support to the buying department Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience Join us on SOCIAL MEDIA or visit our WEBSITE for more information.
