IT Systems Engineer

SUMMARY:
A well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Pretoria East is looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer for its plant. You’ll be the go-to person for the site’s IT infrastructure, covering everything from servers and networks to the plant-floor systems.

POSITION INFO:
Diagnose, repair, troubleshoot and maintain computer and software systems across the organisation Network administration and Cisco LAN equipment support and maintenance Windows Server 2012 Active Directory support and maintenance Syspro server and client support Microsoft Exchange Server administration SQL database administration VoIP system maintenance Linux proxy and firewall support (Squid, iptables) Daily end-user hardware and software support Server maintenance and business continuity (backups, disaster recovery) Project management and interdepartmental systems support Support for Adroit SCADA systems, PLCs and HMI machines Minimum requirements Matric / Grade 12 CompTIA A+ / N+, MCSA / MCSE, Cisco or equivalent industry qualifications Microsoft Certified IT Professional 3-5 years' experience in IT support, services and programming Experience with Adroit systems, HMI machines and PLCs Skilled in database programming and Visual Studio Advantageous Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Certifications in VMware, 3CX, CCTV, SQL or ITIL Personal attributes Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working on a busy production site
