IsiZulu Teacher

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated IsiZulu Teacher to join our educational team, focusing on delivering engaging and effective language instruction to learners. This role is critical in fostering a deep appreciation and understanding of the IsiZulu language, while also enhancing students’ cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive language instruction, promoting both oral and written proficiency in IsiZulu
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, quizzes, and informal assessments
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Incorporate cultural elements into the curriculum to enrich the learning experience
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to enhance overall curriculum development and student success
- Maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language education

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field
- Proficient fluency in IsiZulu and English, with excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in teaching languages, preferably IsiZulu, in a classroom setting
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a supportive learning environment
- Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment practices related to language instruction
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to suit diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching qualification or certification in IsiZulu language instruction
- Experience using technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences
- Background in curriculum development with a focus on language education
- Familiarity with contemporary language teaching methodologies
