Inventory Controller
R16 000 – R25 000 per month, depending on experience
We are recruiting an analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to oversee stock control, inventory reconciliations and logistics processes across a busy wholesale, retail and warehousing environment.
The successful candidate must have a strong financial background, excellent reconciliation skills and the ability to maintain accurate stock records across multiple locations.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Manage and reconcile daily in-store stock counts. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies. Coordinate monthly stocktakes across retail stores and warehouses. Manage bonded stock transfers and reconciliations. Monitor wholesale and retail inventory levels. Oversee stock receiving, dispatching and inventory movements. Handle stock costing, item code creation, imports and cost reconciliations. Analyse inventory data, purchasing trends and stock movements. Prepare inventory reports and assist with stock audits. Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Warehouse and Operations teams. Minimum Requirements Completed Finance or Accounting qualification - essential and non-negotiable. Proven experience as an Inventory Controller, Stock Controller or similar. Strong finance experience and excellent reconciliation skills. Wholesale, retail or warehouse inventory experience. Good understanding of stock costing and supply-chain procedures. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills - essential. Working knowledge of inventory and accounting systems. Strong analytical and reporting ability. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail. Personal Attributes Financially astute. Methodical and analytical. Highly organised. Proactive in resolving discrepancies. Comfortable working across departments. Takes ownership of stock accuracy. Important: Candidates without a completed Finance or Accounting qualification will not be considered.
