Internship: Rea Vaya Operations Scheduling

Enrolled as a student : R3 500,00 pm (Basic salary, no benefits) 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus Diploma in Transport Management / Logistics Management or studying towards (3rd year studies) an NQF level 6 qualification in the related field. 
• Only City of Joburg residents will be considered. 

Primary Function: 

• Monitor and report on Rea Vaya bus operations daily, including recording service demand statistics, and plan and model bus schedules to meet service delivery requirements. 

Key Learning Areas: 

• Daily monitoring and managing the routing and scheduling function of buses. 
• Manage the implementation of newly designed scheduling systems and procedures. 
• Compile and provide weekly reports regarding bus operations. 

Leading Competencies: 

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening and written). 
• Computer Literacy- Microsoft Office Applications- Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 
• Customer complaint and resolution skills; 
• Good coordination and Organising skills; 

Core Learning Competencies: 

• Knowledge of public transport operations; 
• Ability to compile operation reports; 
• Ability to project daily bus operation statistics and plan for the future
