Internship Programme 2027: Project Management

Optimi is looking for a motivated, hardworking graduate to join our Internship Programme. The ideal candidate should be organised, detail-oriented, and eager to gain practical experience in project administration and coordination. This opportunity will also entail completing an accredited qualification over the period of 12 months.

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
• Experience with a ticketing system such as Zoho Desk (Advantageous).
• Minimum 1 year in an administrative role (Advantageous)
• Knowledge of SETA, QCTO or workplace-based learning environments will be advantageous.
• Must not have previously participated in an internship programme.

• Assist with project planning, administration and coordination activities.
• Maintain project schedules, trackers and related documentation.
• Coordinate learner, facilitator and venue arrangements.
• Follow up on project deliverables and outstanding actions.
• Maintain learner records, attendance registers and supporting documentation.
• Assist with ensuring project and compliance documentation is complete and submitted on time.
• Communicate with learners, facilitators and internal stakeholders regarding project-related activities.
• Update project reports and maintain accurate project information.
• Assist with project monitoring, reporting and administrative activities.
• Support the Project Manager with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks.
• Participate in training and development activities and demonstrate accountability for assigned responsibilities.
