Internship Programme 2027: IT

Optimi is looking for a motivated, hardworking graduate to join our Internship Programme. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining practical experience in IT support, systems administration, and asset management. This opportunity will also entail completing an accredited qualification over the period of 12 months.

• Grade 12
• Diploma or Degree in IT or a related field
• Basic computer literacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must not have previously participated in an internship programme.

• Assist with managing the IT service desk and logging support requests.
• Provide first-line support and guidance to users, including remote support where required.
• Assist with resolving routine IT-related queries and escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain IT asset registers and inventory records.
• Assist with tracking, allocating and recording IT equipment.
• Support the maintenance of hardware, software and related documentation.
• Assist with arranging repairs and maintenance for IT equipment.
• Support insurance-related administration and documentation relating to IT assets.
• Participate in IT-related projects and assist with project administration activities.
• Assist with maintaining accurate records and reports relating to support activities and assets.
• Perform general administrative and ad hoc duties as required by the team.
