Internal Sales Representative Engineering & Manufacturing Industry Location: Rosslyn, Pretoria, Gauteng Employment Type: Permanent Salary: R30,000 - R35,000 per month (depending on experience) About the Opportunity: An established engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join its commercial team in Rosslyn, Pretoria. The successful candidate will play an important role in managing customer enquiries, preparing and following up on quotations, processing sales orders and maintaining strong customer relationships. Working closely with planning, production and dispatch teams, you will ensure that customer requirements are managed efficiently, orders progress smoothly and clients receive professional service and regular communication throughout the sales process. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual with strong internal sales experience, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage incoming customer enquiries relating to products, pricing, availability and order status. Prepare and issue accurate customer quotations in accordance with pricing structures and approval procedures. Proactively follow up on outstanding quotations. Manage customer sales orders from initial capture through to confirmation and delivery. Verify order details, pricing, terms and customer information. Confirm orders and expected delivery dates with customers. Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional and responsive service. Resolve customer queries and complaints, escalating where necessary. Keep customers informed of order progress, delivery schedules and potential delays. Work closely with planning and production teams to coordinate order priorities, lead times and delivery expectations. Liaise with dispatch and logistics teams to coordinate customer deliveries. Process order amendments and cancellations in accordance with company procedures. Maintain accurate customer, quotation and sales order records. Prepare sales and order reports as required. Ensure confidentiality of customer and pricing information and adhere to company policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. 2-3 years'' experience in internal sales, sales administration or customer service. Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous. Proven experience handling customer enquiries and preparing sales quotations. Experience processing and managing customer sales orders. Exposure to ERP systems, ideally JD Edwards (JDE), would be advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Strong numerical ability and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advantageous Experience Relevant qualification or certificate in Sales, Administration or Commercial Management. Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment. Previous experience using JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP systems. Knowledge of technical products or engineering-related sales processes.
