Horticulturist (Job Id Number 6/5/1/001)

Job Purpose: 

• The job purpose of Horticulturist is to manage the aesthetics and neatness of municipal owned open spaces, parks, recreational facilities and cemeteries in the Greater Tzaneen Municipality. 

Key performance areas: 

• The Horticulturist must ensure that the daily work is done to satisfaction and to achieve the objectives of Council. He/she will be responsible for:
•  Coordinate and ensure activities of reporting staff 
• Coordinate parks and recreation infrastructure construction and maintenance activities 
• Coordinate contracts for construction and maintenance activities Perform client and public related services
• Perform administrative and human resources related activities  Monitor and supervise utilization, application and maintenance of resources. 

Requirements: 

• National Diploma in Horticulture or relevant qualification (NQF Level 6), driver’s license and Three (03) years’ relevant experience
