• We are looking for an exceptional Salesforce Solution & Org Architect to help architect something ambitious: the next generation of client engagement for Absa CIB.
• We are evolving Salesforce beyond traditional CRM into a connected client engagement ecosystem, designed to put the client at the centre of intelligence, relationships, opportunities, marketing, service and execution. Our ambition is to move from fragmented and product-led engagement toward a truly client-led banking model.

• Our transformation brings together Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud Next, analytics, enterprise data and advanced AI into a more connected ecosystem. The architecture mandate spans CIB businesses and countries across a Pan-African footprint.
• The opportunity is to establish the blueprints, patterns and architecture guardrails for a Salesforce platform that is secure, scalable, reusable and sustainable, while integrating effectively with enterprise platforms and authoritative data sources.

Your mission:

You will provide architecture leadership across three connected disciplines: Solution Architecture, Org Architecture and Architecture Leadership.

You will translate complex CIB business and technology requirements into end-to-end solution architectures while protecting the long-term integrity, scalability and sustainability of the Salesforce platform and its relationship with the wider enterprise architecture.

• Shape the target Salesforce architecture for a client-led Pan-African CIB.
• Apply deep Financial Services Cloud architecture and data-model expertise, not merely Salesforce configuration.
• Determine how Salesforce should interact with enterprise applications, platforms and authoritative data sources.
• Lead architecture decisions spanning data, integration, security, identity, automation, AI and custom development.
• Challenge unnecessary customisation and champion native Salesforce capability where it creates the stronger long-term architecture.
• Guide Feature Teams, developers, technical leads, platform engineers and delivery partners.

We're especially interested in you if...

You are already a serious Salesforce architect, but you're looking for a problem bigger than another implementation. You understand the difference between implementing Salesforce and architecting an enterprise Salesforce ecosystem.

You bring strong practical experience across complex Salesforce estates and can move comfortably between platform architecture, data architecture, integration, security, identity, org strategy and enterprise architecture.

• 10+ years' experience working across Salesforce platforms and enterprise technology environments.
• Proven experience designing and delivering Salesforce solutions across multiple business domains and large-scale programmes.
• Experience architecting integrations with enterprise applications, data platforms and identity/security ecosystems.
• Deep hands-on Salesforce architecture experience ideally including Financial Services Cloud.
• Architecture leadership across complex, integrated and highly governed enterprise environments.
• Strong judgement on native capability, configuration, extension and customisation trade-offs.
• Experience establishing reusable patterns, standards and architecture governance.
• Proven architecture leadership and enterprise delivery experience remain essential.
• Experience in Corporate & Investment Banking, institutional banking, wholesale banking, markets, transaction banking or complex B2B financial services is highly desirable.
• Experience serving as the accountable architecture authority for a Salesforce platform, including ownership of target-state architecture, architecture roadmaps, technology standards and platform evolution.
