SUMMARY:
Lexdan Select is assisting a international equipment manufacturing business with their search for their Head of Purchasing, based in Stellenbosch.

The role will execute, and oversee the global procurement strategy for our equipment and component portfolios.

POSITION INFO:
The functions of the role are: manage a team in the purchasing department managing forecasting + monitoring sales figures, analyzing demand for parts identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic global suppliers across key agricultural manufacturing hubs mitigate geopolitical, macroeconomic, and currency fluctuation risks through diversified sourcing strategies and hedging strategies lead high-stakes negotiations for long-term supply agreements manage the department's annual purchasing budget negotiating with suppliers in various countries international travel Requirements: minimum of 8 years relevant purchasing experience experience in a business where equipment parts are pruchased relevant degree open to international travel team management in office work in Stellenbosch
