Head Guide

SUMMARY:
A luxury safari property in the Eastern Cape is seeking an experienced Head Guide to lead the guiding team and deliver exceptional safari experiences to guests.
This is a senior guiding position suited to a confident and experienced guide with strong leadership, guest relations and bush knowledge.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS: - Proven experience as a Head Guide - Previous luxury safari lodge guiding experience - Strong knowledge of wildlife, fauna, flora and conservation - Excellent knowledge of the Eastern Cape bush environment - Strong leadership and team-management skills - Excellent guest relations and communication skills - Professional and confident when hosting guests - FGASA qualifications appropriate to the position - Valid PDP - Valid First Aid certification - Valid Driver's Licence - Ability to conduct professional game drives and bush activities - Strong organisational and administrative skills - Ability to work independently and lead a guiding team KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead and manage the guiding team - Conduct professional game drives and guided bush activities - Ensure guests receive exceptional and informative safari experiences - Provide accurate interpretation of wildlife and the environment - Maintain strong guest relationships and professional hosting standards - Ensure guest safety during all guided activities - Coordinate daily guiding activities and schedules - Maintain high guiding and safety standards - Assist with training and development of guides - Ensure guiding equipment and vehicles are maintained to the required standard - Work closely with Lodge Management and other departments - Assist with operational requirements when necessary PACKAGE: - Salary: R20,000 - R25,000 per month - Live-in accommodation LOCATION: Eastern Cape
