Front Of House Anchor

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a warm, professional and highly organised Front Of House Anchor to join a luxury lodge in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be the welcoming face of the lodge, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service from arrival through to departure while maintaining the high standards expected within a luxury hospitality environment.

• Welcome, check in and farewell guests in a warm and professional manner.
• Act as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their stay.
• Build strong relationships with guests and provide personalised service.
• Coordinate guest movements, activities, meals and special requests.
• Assist with reservations, bookings and general administrative duties.
• Ensure all guest information is accurately recorded and communicated to relevant departments.
• Handle guest queries, requests and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Conduct lodge tours and provide guests with relevant information about the property and surrounding area.
• Liaise closely with the Lodge Manager, Guides, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments.
• Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner and other guest-facing operations when required.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of presentation across all Front Of House areas.
• Assist with hosting functions, special occasions and guest experiences.
• Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and maintain clear communication within the team.
• Anticipate guest needs and consistently exceed expectations.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications Hospitality qualification would be advantageous. Valid driver's licence would be beneficial. First Aid certification would be advantageous. Experience Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Front Of House, Guest Relations, Reception or similar role within a luxury lodge, hotel or safari environment. Previous experience in a 5-star hospitality environment would be highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of luxury guest service standards.
