Food & Beverage Service Supervisor This role forms part of the Food & Beverage team at The Bay Hotel, within the Village n Life hospitality group, based in Camps Bay, Cape Town.   The role  As Food & Beverage Service Supervisor, you'll help lead daily service across The Bay Hotel's dining and drinks outlets, ensuring guests receive attentive, professional service in a busy beachfront hotel environment.   We're looking for a hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys leading people, interacting with guests and keeping service running efficiently. You'll need the confidence to manage a shift, support your team and maintain standards during busy service periods.   Working closely with Food & Beverage management, the kitchen and other hotel departments, you'll take responsibility for service delivery, guest satisfaction and daily operational controls.   Key responsibilities  Oversee daily food and beverage service across the hotel's restaurant, bar and poolside outlets Lead shift briefings, allocate duties and ensure teams are prepared for service Maintain service standards, outlet presentation and staff grooming Welcome guests, oversee reservations and respond professionally to guest feedback Coordinate with the kitchen, Reception and other departments to ensure efficient service Train and coach team members, maintaining product knowledge and training records Assist with staff rosters, attendance monitoring and shift handovers Ensure accurate billing, POS transactions, cash-ups and daily reconciliations Assist with stock takes, beverage controls, variance reporting and wastage monitoring Promote menu items, daily specials and hotel offerings to support sales targets Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, responsible alcohol service and health and safety requirements Support food and beverage service for hotel functions and special events Report operational issues and ensure compliance with company procedures and service standards   What we're looking for  Grade 12 or equivalent; a hospitality qualification will be advantageous Minimum two years' food and beverage experience in a hotel environment, including supervisory or senior waiter responsibilities Sound knowledge of restaurant and bar service, food and beverage operations and guest relations Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team during busy service periods Good food, wine and beverage knowledge Experience with POS systems, stock control, cash-ups and basic operational reporting Confident communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Computer literacy, with Opera experience advantageous Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays   What we offer  A hands-on supervisory role at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay Career development and training opportunities within Village n Life Staff accommodation options, subject to availability Remuneration aligned with experience and responsibilities   If you have not heard from us within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
