About the position
Our client is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Systems Designer / Draughtsperson to join their team in Cape Town.
The successful candidate will prepare detailed fire sprinkler system designs, layouts and technical drawings for installation and project coordination. Proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit, together with sound knowledge of ASIB requirements, is essential.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities Prepare and update fire sprinkler system designs, layouts and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Revit . Develop coordinated drawings showing sprinkler positioning, pipework routing and associated system components, taking architectural layouts and other building services into account. Apply relevant ASIB requirements and project specifications when preparing designs and drawings. Liaise with project managers, engineers and installation teams to clarify requirements, resolve drawing queries and incorporate design changes. Prepare drawings for review and installation, and update as-built drawings using confirmed site information. Maintain accurate drawing registers, revision records and project documentation while meeting agreed deadlines. Minimum requirements Relevant experience in fire sprinkler system design and draughting . Proven proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit . Sound working knowledge of ASIB requirements relating to fire sprinkler systems. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, technical drawings and project specifications. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
